Few artists can fuse genres as effortlessly
as LINDA LEWIS. Along with her incredible 5 octave vocal range,
LINDA LEWIS was able to integrate a host of different musical
elements into her recordings. Folk, Soul, Pop and Rock were all
incorporated helping Linda to create one of the most unique
sounds to ever come out of the UK.
The English born singer/songwriter,
LINDA LEWIS, released seven
albums during the 70 s. Her Debut on Arista Records, Not A
Little Girl Anymore, was released in 1975 and climbed into the
UK top 40 with the help of the top ten UK hit, Its In His Kiss.
The follow up to this greatly received album was WOMAN
OVERBOARD, now reissued by BBR. This album was produced under
the watchful of eye of New Orleans R&B legend Allen Toussaint
and featured guest production from greats like Bert De Coteaux
and Cat Stevens. It was then remixed by Jim Cregan who had
produced the majority of Linda's previous albums.
LINDA LEWIS has also collaborated and toured with many of the
world smost successful artists such as the aforementioned Cat
Stevens, Luther Vandross, Rod Stewart, David Bowie and
Jamiroquai showing just how highly regarded she is by some of
the biggest names in the music industry. Linda has just
completed a successful UK Tour.

Sylvester and Bert DeCoteaux some of Disco's earliest classics.
The album also features backing from the legendary Allen
Toussaint and the ever-impressive Tower Of Power horn section.
Along with her solo successes, Linda Lewis also collaborated and
toured with many of the worlds most successful artists like Cat
Stevens, Luther Vandross, Rod Stewart, David Bowie and
Jamiroquai showing just how highly regarded she is by some of

Linda is appearing on
the 'Spirit of 71' stage at this year's Glastonbury Festival
together with fellow journeymen Terry Reid, Melanie and Arthur

Linda's Mum Lily
has sadly died. She will still play her Glastonbury set
and dedicate it to her mother's memory.
Lily will be
laid to rest on Monday 27 June at 15:30 City of London Cemetery,
Manor Park
